    Press Release

Top Austin Area RE/MAX Offices Honored at Statewide Convention

Shelton Thibodeaux, RE/MAX Horseshoe Bay Resort Sales

(Austin, Texas-February 1, 2012-)  RE/MAX offices and agents from across Texas gathered in Galveston last weekend for their 35th annual statewide convention, with numerous local agents receiving productivity awards. Among the 27 Austin-area firms, RE/MAX Horseshoe Bay Resort Sales, Shelton Thibodeaux, Co-Owner, won first place in listing volume.

Shirl Thornton, RE/MAX Horseshoe Bay Resort Sales

Shirl Thornton, also from RE/MAX Horseshoe Bay Resort Sales, was additionally the #5 top individual producer in the 4,100+ member network, qualifying for the Chairman’s Club Award (minimum $500,000 in annual earned commissions).

Ron Binkley and Craig Noling, RE/MAX Austin Skyline

First place in sales volume and commissions paid went to RE/MAX Austin Skyline, Ron Binkley and Craig Noling, Co-Owners.

    Sylvia Pack, RE/MAX Austin Skyline

Sylvia Pack, also from RE/MAX Austin Skyline, was honored as the Office Administrator of the Year.

    Jeff Osborne, RE/MAX Capital City

First Place in listing units and sales units went to RE/MAX Capital City, Jeff Osborne, Broker/Owner. Osborne was additionally presented the Miracle Maker Award for his firm’s fundraising efforts for Children’s Miracle Network and Dell Children’s Hospital.

All three RE/MAX offices had numerous agents qualifying for the Executive Club ($50,000 minimum annual commissioned earnings), 100 Per Cent Club ($100,000 minimum earned commissions) and Platinum Club ($250,000 minimum earned commissions.)

“This was an incredible conference,” said Osborne, who operated RE/MAX offices in Cedar Park, Austin and Round Rock. “There was a lot of focus on the latest trends in how consumers are searching for properties, how Realtors are generating greater customer contact by using multiple electronic and social media communications platforms, and it was invigorating to share ideas with so many top producing professionals.”

Approximately 800 RE/MAX agents from across Texas gathered to hear two days of top national speakers, MCE courses, technology training, top producer panels, and leading edge real estate curriculum. While soaking up presentations from Google, 1000Watt Consulting, superstar real estate coach Brian Buffini and others, RE/MAX agents found time to raise approximately $100,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals during charity auctions and a casino gala dance.

“The real estate climate in Austin doesn’t mirror the news we hear through the national media,” said Binkley. “Our agents are very busy, and we know that people are relocating to this area from all over the United States, and the world, and of course RE/MAX has offices wherever these people are moving from, so the referral business across our network has been exceptional.”

RE/MAX agents lead the real estate industry in experience, productivity, and advanced professional designations. Nationally, RE/MAX agents conduct-on average-nearly twice as many transactions annually as the average agent productivity at the second most productive competitor.
